State bailout

Five states seek a $1 trillion federal bailout, give me a break. Why can’t government do like the rest of us when times are tough and cut spending. While I suppose you wouldn’t want to piss off the government workers unions or all of the special interest groups. Why does the government fill the need to pay higher wages and provide better benefits than the private sector, could it be because it’s not their money they are spending its yours. If our government just did what it is supposed to do instead of thinking it has to provide for everybody’s every need we wouldn’t have revenue shortage. We have created a huge group of people who think it is the government job to provide for our every need, but that’s a huge problem for another day.

Farm Subsidies

Farm subsidies, am I the only person that thinks farm subsidies are rediculous? Last year’s crop prices were at record highs yet congress passed a new farm bill that will give farmers a bigger handout than they were already getting. The average farm household earns $81,420 annually and has a net worth of $838,875. Farmers are doing great and don’t need help. What’s really going on here is the buying of votes, congress is using your tax money to buy the votes of farmers, if you don’t believe this check out the margin of victory for the incumbent congressmen in farm states. If you want to get really pissed off check out www.ewg.org/farm Then call your members of congress and tell them you have had enough.
